We Christians often use YHWH El Shaddai when we Praise the LORD and give our thanks.
Do we know the meaning of El Shaddai? Do we know that the meaning is debatable and there are atleast 3 meanings for the word Shaddai?
I give below the different meanings
God of Wilderness
God of Mountains
God who Nourishes
There are even debates that there was a bronze age city by name shaddai and hence God of Shaddai is a possibility. There are also equivalent pagan gods that even Baalam while summoned to tell an Oracle against Israel uses Shaddai and hence considered to be a deity of the kingdom.
Let us worship the LORD in our own language, rather than unknown Hebrew as we don't know the meaning, unless we get the worship while we speak in tongues.
HalleluYah.
