Friends

Whom shall we befriend? James wrote that pure religion (outward expression of inward faith) is to visit the fatherless and the widows (1:27). This phrase was used in the Old Testament to refer to anyone who had a need and could not repay the favor. Christ put it this way, “But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you;
