This is second part of the series Law of Sin and Law of Belief. For First part please click here
We all know that the Mosaic law was given to us through Moses.
Until the completion not a word, nor the part of the word of the law will get destroyed. said Jesus.
When He died on the cross, and said FInished, he has completed the Law.
In Roman 10:4 Paul says "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
In 1 Tim 1 Paul says
9. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly
and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured
persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11. According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
In Galatians 3 Paul says
10. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that
continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them
How does this Mosaic Law is for us. Paul says
Galatians 3:24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Now on the Law of belief
We read in Galatians 3:13. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
So the Mosaic law is no more applicable. It can no more curse us. Halleluyah.
Paul further says in Galatians 5 that if we are led by the Spirit we are not below law
17. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the
other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told
you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
So we, the believers who had died for Christ and crucified the affections and lusts, in the baptism laid to rest and
resurrected again, having the Spirit of the son, given by the Father, We a Holy temple of God, should be led by the
Spirit and should be under the law of belief.
As for the Fruit of Spirit, the Spirit who lives in us shall bring forth. We shall abide in the true vine, LORD Jesus and
will bringforth much fruits for Father.
So, as a branch of Christ, what we need to do is, trust that the Jesus, the true vine shall supply all our needs. With
that restfulness, we shall take his easy yoke and walk in law of belief.
May the LORD bless you and guide you. Amen
